ÿþadidas has adidas mens black shoes teamed up with Japanese label White Mountaineering time and time again for added premium quality to some of their most relevant models. The adidas NMD? You bet. How about the adidas Tubular series? Definitely. Today we get a look at the upcoming adidas EQT 93-17 Boost from White Mountaineering, as the archival adidas Equipment running lineup gets a Boost, quite literally, from the three stripe's latest cushioning technology and an added dose of Primeknit for good measure. White Mountaineering puts a twist to the model through premium nubuck on the medial side with Equipment' and ADV_WM_SS17' labeled for good measure.
The hot pink color tone will also be an ongoing theme this year, acting as a unifying visual to all of the new adidas EQT releases of early 2017. Expect this model to hit select adidas Originals retailers beginning on January 26th.While there is no official award for "shoe brand of the year", we can safely establish that adidas earned that unwritten honor two years running. 2015 was adidas men's boost won off the strength of Yeezy, Stan, and Ultra Boost. 2016 was a runaway W thanks to NMD and the continuing success of the aforementioned silos. Now, adidas enters the crucial third year of this emergence, and it may be the EQT that will help the brand tighten their grip on the game.
But if there's someone who adidas mens shoes superstar can speak more fluently about EQT and the brand as a whole, it's none other than creative director Nic Galway, a 17-year veteran of adidas who not only grew up during the original Equipment era, but spearheaded the relaunch of the category for today's audience. We spoke with him briefly at Art Basel, and as he calmly geeked out about working with the likes of Yohji Yamamoto and Yosuke Aiwaza, he exuded an unshakeable confidence about what's to come.EQT in the 90s and what we see here is vastly different, so there's a bit of a challenge when it comes to informing the uniformed about the history of EQT through these new models.
While early adidas mens shoes black leaks called for the release to kick off in August, adidas has confirmed September 2018 as the official kick off. Shoes have not been revealed but check our adidas x Dragon Ball Z page for what's been leaked so far. And stay tuned for more details around this special release.Yes, there was a time that the adidas EQT lineup existed before both Primeknit and Boost, but you might not know it from the way that adidas has updated the archival running and training imprint with their latest and greatest technology. The EQT series has taken a bit of a break from Primeknit for a current fixation with just Boost cushioning, but that all changes with the return of the adidas EQT ADV Primeknit this August.
